Light Shotgun
• Minor reduction in PUSH force.
We loved seeing everyone trying out Xero’s first new gun, and we are ultimately satisfied with the level of firepower and uptime that it has (especially after the August 2nd hotfix, documented in the previous week’s patch notes). This change is not meant to weaken it in a meaningful way, as it’s merely a fix that gives this gun its intended level of PUSH force on hit.
Heavy Machine Gun
• Damage dropoff curve strengthened from (2000, 6000, 0.2) to (3000, 6000, 0.2).
In the current state of the gun roster, part of a close-range gun’s power comes from its leniency to reach beyond close-range to deal damage, even with low accuracy. Since the Heavy Machine Gun is the only close-range gun that lacks this leniency, we have decided to restore it (though not at the same level as before the weakening of its damage dropoff curve). We will continue to monitor this gun to see if this leniency is too much or too little.
