u wrote a poem and then u complain if ppl dont read it, u could make a summary by saying "voice-chat yes or not" + this post should be in threads section not here + why u are making the same topic if it already got alot of dislikes (?) cuz it was 1 month ago? is still a short time
if someone won’t take 20 seconds to actually read before voting or commenting, that’s on them, not me. this isn’t some poem, it’s a clear, straightforward post explaining what keeps getting misunderstood.
when i did say just “voice chat yes or no,” people rushed to downvote it. 24 dislikes, straight into the negatives. so clearly, saying less wasn’t the solution either.
and reposting? yes, because the same flawed arguments keep resurfacing, and most people simply don’t engage with the threads section the same way. the main feed is way more active, interactive, and visible. just compare the engagement, like in this recent post; 0 upvotes, 3 replies in 11 hours. that’s the reality of the threads section.
you’re free to disagree, just do it after actually reading.

yes, threads are more inactive but threads are made for ppl who are interested into reading suggestions which is ur target, the reason why u got so many votes here is because (as u said) ppl randomly vote without even reading sometimes, and the voice chat is ur suggestion, so ur old post was right you don't need to bring water to your mill cuz else is trying to "force" ppl to say yes, thats how poll works + i said "poem" cuz it was alot of text, ppl dont really want to read it especially on site which isnt the threads section and u cant pretend all ppl reading a wall of text if it doesnt affect them cuz else everyone should read every single wall of text written online + threads section (i think, i'm not sure) should work differently with likes, cuz there is dislike and like button so if u get 1 like and 1 dislike u still will have 0 votes cuz +1 and -1 i guess so thats why it seems less active to you probably but as u can see ppl commented ur idea still (less cuz of what i explained before but they did)

but here's where we differ:
my goal wasn’t just to drop a suggestion and leave, it was to create a space where the conversation could evolve. the original post did get votes, yeah, mostly downvotes, but barely any replies. now compare that to this one, which clearly sparked actual dialogue, and even some changed minds.
to me, that’s a better outcome, even if it’s imperfect.
and no, this isn’t me trying to “bring water to my mill” or twist arms. it’s literally just giving the idea a second shot with better framing. not everyone’s gonna read it, and that’s fine, but the ones who do? that’s who it’s for.
i’m not trying to “pretend all people read walls of text”, i’m just hoping that some do, and that it reaches the ones who care enough to weigh in fairly.
this wasn’t about bending the system or forcing anything, it’s about persistence and giving people the benefit of the doubt. and i think the replies so far prove that was worth it.
