To keep the discussion going : ppl who dont want to 1v1 are the ones who have big egos! Why is it so hard to accept that 1v1s are the only way to measure s4 **** length correctly? <.<
None of the senpais i know, would go : "yea but s4 is a team game", they rather admit they just cant beat someone, thats how u swallow ur ego. If you are really convinced that 1v1s dont mean anything, youre just sleeping on the reality, that skill=prestige=social status***. 1v1s in td and dm are entirely skill based, you cant luck yourself out of it. ofc its not the same as 6 v 6 or 3 v 3 but no one ever tried to measure ur performance with a team, its about ur individual gamesense and mastery of the game, applied to a 1 v 1 scenario. If youre a support player who cant kill, thats a detrimental lack of basic game mechanics and you have no ground to call urself a more refined player, than someone who kills like crazy but doesnt have support gamesense. Same goes for scorers, if you cant kill, u will get scored on 24/7, unless u find a way to cheese ur away around that(at least in guns). ik the discussion was rather about toxicity and cringy ppl bragging about how they acted just as childish as their opponnent BUT i really wanted to push the opinion that 1v1s are something beautiful, enabling a paradise of competition even outside of usual games. U just gotta be humble enough to accept defeat and grow as a player ;3.
If you cant beat someone 1v1, dont act like that person wouldnt snacc u up on ramp as well(correct me if im wrong senpais****). :3
***Ofc ppl will still hate u if ur a dick but theres a certain respect between high mastery players, not to mention that low ranks rarely flame high rank/skill players, no matter how bad they played in one particular game. vice versa u literally need almost nothing to upset others if ur just a low lvl "nobody" who cant play properly. Even the nicest ppl make mean comments on bad players at times, so we can either agree on the reality that skill matters in a game or pretend that everyone !can! be treated equally respectful.
**** Be willing to respect players which invested big parts of their lives into this game. calling ppl "no lifes" just shows a certain lack of dedication in ones own world. ofc not everyone is here due to free will(looking at u cry senpai) but deep inside, most senpais feel a deep sense of pride in their talent. They worked long and hard for it and you can write it off as a dead childrens game but we all know the feeling when u have shitty days and lose to ppl u usually snacc up no problem. These people put themselves willingly into this feeling of frustration to get further up on the ladder. No one can tell them if it ever will pay off or if they make it to top, its pure belief in ones own ability to grow and the wish to be more than just someone average at s4. I respect that deeply, since deciding whats important to YOURSELF(even if its a videogame), is never an easy task, since every decision kills off all other scenarios you had to choose from. My xero experience wouldnt be a tenth as beautiful without my senpais <3
